James Rhodes James Rhodes, president of Pointe Arbor Design & Build, is involved with the design, pricing and aesthetics of the product type going into the Bloomstone subdivision. James grew up in the Polson and Dayton areas on the southern end of beautiful Flathead Lake. After high school James migrated to the Puget Sound area to attend Northwest College, then studied English, Psychology and Sociology at Montana State University in Bozeman. “First careers” were pursued with Equifax and also as a marketing and technology department director for a mortgage firm. Having been raised by two entrepreneurial business-minded parents, James found his second generation construction interests drawing him back into various forms of the construction field. Moving to Spokane, Washington, James worked in the construction field by day and managed a 300 unit apartment complex by night (and pursued some technical writing in his extra time). As is the case with many native Montanans, the “urge to return” drew James back to the Flathead Valley where he formed his own construction company and proceeded to build 100+ multi-plex units and single family homes. His experience, passion to build and enthusiastic outlook on life have led James to become an integral member of the Bloomstone development. James and his wife, Laura, have 2 daughters and a son. Laura counsels her husband in color and design choices and manages the firm’s finances (as well as home schooling the children). The family is very involved in church ministries, too. For recreation the family spends time on the local ski slopes and on the Lake. Boats (fast ones) have long been a passion of James. (So has bare foot water skiing – even in exhibition skiing at Seattle’s Sea Fair celebration).
